Mastic Asphalt Division : In line with GFM Systems’ policy of offering a fully comprehensive service to Main Contractors, and Customers direct, a new well-equipped and staffed Mastic Asphalt Division has recently been set up. This is yet another example of GFM Systems’ foresight in offering complete roofing solutions.

In spite of it’s perceived ‘old fashioned’ image, asphalt continues to elicit trust and a growing market share, mainly due to it’s tried and trusted reputation over more than 100 years of continued use. Added to this, the adoption of Polymer-modified formulations since the 1990’s adds a modern dimension to a proven model. The greatest benefit in the view of GFM Systems, to the use of mastic asphalt in ‘Heavy Wear’ areas in particular, is it’s robustness, and ability to survive the construction phase intact. It is particularly suited to Balconies, Terraces and Podium areas, especially on a concrete base.

GFM Systems is well positioned to carry out from the very largest projects, to a single Balcony if required. Through the use of skilled tradesmen and a large range of asphalt equipment, including a 13-tonne boiler which yields up to 400m2 of asphalt roofing each day, to a fleet of 2-tonne machines suited to smaller works, GFM Systems can accommodate virtually all reasonable requirements to the highest standards and in a professional manner.

GFM Systems are currently approved installers of Permaphalt polymer-modified asphalt from Ruberoid Building Products Ltd., and also Pacoflex polymer-modified asphalt from Pure Asphalt Ltd. Both systems offer quality Guarantees of up to 20 years. Also included in the range of systems offered is Carpark Waterproofing using Permapark or Pacopave paving grade asphalt.
